After graduation, I worked as an assistant language teacher (ALT) under the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program. I worked in the capital of Fukui Prefecture, at a high school renowned for its emphasis on science and global affairs. During my time there, I faced unique challenges, explored the Japanese half of my identity, enjoyed many different aspects of Japanese culture, and overall had a pretty awesome time.
I then completed a pre-medical post-baccalaureate program at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. With the support of many wonderful people, I was accepted to the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. Step by step, I come closer to achieving my goal of becoming a physician.
This blog represents a way for people to keep up with my thoughts and shenanigans, except for the fact that I update it irregularly.
Take it easy.
